The Time of My Life

H1 - Our Lady of Lourdes, Ms. Aileen Villegas
H2 - Our Lady of Charity*, Ms. Carla Solomon
H3 - Our Lady of Divine Providence, Ms. Jeremy Florenciano, Ms. Myrla Emboltorio
H4 - Our Lady of the Assumption*, Mr. Edwin Rieza Jr.

These Four sections  are really big parts of my High school life, They have seen me navigate my way though thick and thin, but most importantly they have been with me all the way.

High School was like the movie that you wanted it to be. The friends, the drama, the tears, the laughter, the triumphs and of course the failures. If you look at it four years may seem to be such a really long time but to me and my fellow seniors 4 years seemed to be so short.

Lets start with the beginning, shall we?

H1- Our Lady of Lourdes with Ms. Aileen Villegas. My first year in High school was anything but boring. Elected Class President on the first wee. Consistent part of the Top 3 in my section, tons of friends. a whole lot of laughs and a whole lot  of tears, it was indeed a very interesting way of starting my High School life.
They did earn a very special place in my heart that I will cherish forever, and truth be told this was the section that I had the hardest time letting go I don't know why but those 10 months spent with them did make such a          great impact on me.

H2 - OL of Charity
H2 - Our Lady of Charity, Yay! I am now part of the cream of the crop, sadly my happiness was short lived for I, myself did not leave up to my own expectations. I don't know why, but this year really seemed to be an emotional roller coaster. I am very thankful for what a great mother our dear adviser was. Another thing this year did not end well for I was removed from the honors' Class but then, I was in for a big surprise as I entered Junior year.

H3 - Our Lady of Divine Providence with Ms Jeremy Florenciano. Junior Year was my glory year, It was the best year of my life. One again elected class president, I was elated. I had one goal in my mind and that is to go back to the Honors' Class which I did, but before that many things happened.

With Daddy :)

Now, how many people do you know would tell you that they have survived an impeachment? well that I just did, I was stripped off my presidency, It hurt, and it sucked real bad but I did get over it as I became a dictator in my own right. I became the Prime Minister of H3 - Our Lady of Divine Providence, a position especially created for me. The year was another roller coaster since by December of that year we said good bye to one of the best advisers ever Ms. Jhe Florenciano, true I did shed many tears but that did not stop me, life had to go on and another person I would also like to thank was our subsequent adviser Ms. Myrla Emboltorio. Another person that I met on my Junior year would be one of my mentors, He is non other than my English teacher, Mr Jefry Pineda or as I or we like to call him "Daddy" he also became a huge part of my High school life for he really became my mentor, my teacher, my father, sometimes my brother but most especially in times he also became my tormentor and for that I am also very thankful.

Another thing, It was during this year that I ran for student government, sadly I lost but not without a fight.

Enter Senior Year and my triumphant return to the Honors' class G10 - Our Lady of the Assumption. As I have said in one of my previous blogs, History has a funny way of repeating itself for once again my triumph was short lived. This was the year that I indeed cried a lot. For three quarters I was up to the point of an emotional train wreck which thankfully just became a phase. It became a quarterly ritual for me to cry and bawl my eyes out over the failure that I thought I was. I never would have survived w/out the help of my adviser Mr. Edwin Rieza Jr. and of course my English teacher for another year, Mr. Pineda.
English Area Coordinator for a Day :)

Although filled with tears, senior year was also filled with cheers, for this year was the first time that I competed in an outside school competition and thankfully I won. Another blessing was passing both College admission exams that I took, namely, the DLSU-CET and the UPCAT. Another thing that made this year memorable was me serving as The Marian Post's Managing Editor and at the same time despite my lost during the election I still served the Marian student government as their "Unofficial Political Adviser"

A very important lesson that High school has taught me is that Failure is an Integral Part of life, we cannot do away with it and with this I'll share with you what Mr. Rieza told me "Pinaiyak ka niya ng 4 na quarter, pero you will be happy for 4 years and more"

High school was indeed like a movie, It was filled with joys, tears, triumphs and failures but despite those High school is and was about US. It was a time wherein I discovered myself, it was where I came to be. High school will certainly be a time that will forever have a place in my heart. The friends, the teachers, the memories, the problems, the triumphs all these have made great impacts upon my life and for all of this I am very grateful. High School for me may now be over but then the memories will surely
 live forever.
